Tough Choices for Teens

A teen pregnancy is often the occasion for some fast growing-up. We all, no matter our age, no matter our place in life, have reason to be concerned by the data on teen pregnancy. This is especially true for Latino families: Latina girls in their teens have twice the number of pregnancies than their non-Latina peers.

The movie “Juno” made it possible for some families to discuss issues surrounding teen reproductive health. But life is not a movie, and the realities of the decision-making that accompany a teenage pregnancy can be daunting. Listen to our reporting on the issue this week. And let us know your thoughts. Talking about this complex problem is part of how we might begin to solve it.
